Dr. Railand’s path to dentistry began unexpectedly. When pursuing her passion for creating jewelry and stained glass she went to purchase a metal saw at a dental lab and stumbled upon the meticulous artistry of dental crown creation. This sparked a lifelong interest in dentistry where she could blend precision, artistry and science to improve lives. Dr. Railand earned her DMD with honors from Oregon Health and Science University in 2010. Upon graduation she attended the University of New Mexico School of Medicine for her advanced residency where Dr. Railand gained experience in oral surgery, complex rehabilitations and the oral systemic connection. At UNM hospital Dr. Railand was part of a dental team that evaluated patients for dental clearance before surgeries. In this setting it was clear that dental health plays in integral part in the rest of the body.
She then moved her family to Milwaukee WI, to be close to her husband’s family while raising their two young daughters. During her time in Wisconsin Dr. Railand put her accrued knowledge into full practice by starting Holistic Dentistry of Port Washington, a private practice located 30 minutes north of Milwaukee Wisconsin.
This practice grew quickly through word of mouth with Dr. Railand providing all aspects of dental care, to all ages, with a focus on biologic dentistry and ceramic dental implant placement. After taking her practice from the ground up to a thriving and successful practice, she decided that it was time to move back to the natural wonders of the Pacific Northwest. In 2022 she sold her practice to a like-minded dentist where it continues to thrive. Dr. Railand relocated to Eugene where she is so excited to have her own practice again where she can treat her patients with compassion, a gentle hand, and a dedication to high quality dentistry.
