At Sage Dental Wellness we want to welcome you and help you feel comfortable in your new dental home. We are excited for you to experience the most optimal dental care available. As a new patient we will spend time getting to know you and your concerns.
First Appointment
- Please bring your medical information including medications to your appointment.
- We will take photos of your mouth and the needed low dose radiation x-rays which may include a 3-D x-ray to help us in accurately diagnosing any decay, infection or pathology.
- We will perform a comprehensive exam looking at head, neck, soft tissues and supporting structures as well as an oral cancer screening. We will evaluate the health of your teeth and gums as well as a periodontal evaluation to determine the health of the bone that is supporting your teeth.
- We will evaluate your airway, bite/occlusion and your TMJ to see if anything is off or causing excess wear to your teeth or jaw or interfering with your ability to breath at night.
- Once we have collected all the information, we will review our findings with you, together we will formulate a plan to best meet your unique needs. We will be sure to answer all your questions as we plan in phases, placing the highest priorities first and addressing your main concerns. Our ultimate goal is for you to achieve optimal dental health with a focus on balance for your long term success.
- We will make a hygiene treatment plan based on our findings of the health of your gums and bone supporting your teeth.
- We will review the costs of treatment and plan treatment in phases over time keeping in mind what is most cost effective. If treatment cannot be delayed we have 3rd party finance options to make treatment possible.
